BEYOND THE NATURAL LOOK:
Belmacz Beauty

I’m not a big consumer of new beauty products–I have a small selection of skincare and makeup items I always use, and that’s it.
That said, I’m always impressed by spectacular makeup applications, like the amazing faces in last month’s Christian Dior Haute Couture show. And I recently came across this unusual collection by Belmacz. There aren’t many products in the line, but each one is too beautiful not to share.

Belmacz uses extraordinary raw materials. For example, the scarlet lip gloss, above, is flecked with 24k-gold leaf, which really makes lips glow.

Then there’s Oyster Pearl Powder, made from real, finely-crushed pearls suspended in talc and corn starch and scented with roses. It’s soft and translucent, and comes in three shades: light, medium and tan.

Halo is Belmacz’s foundation, so to speak, although it’s really more of a light diffuser than a concealer. This balm has bits of gold leaf, Vitamin E and crushed pearls whipped together in light cocoa butter. It’s not heavy or chalky, and adds no color to your skin. As a woman ages, using too much makeup only ages her more. Halo functions more like a light filter (or soft-focus lighting), whenever you want it.

Finally, there’s Blitz, which is the Belmacz product that really grabs people’s attention. The bold packaging alone is beautiful and impressive, and what’s inside is creamy, 24k-gold makeup to use on your eyelids, cheekbones, collarbones, etc. It’s such a “wow,” and especially fun to have on hand for a big night out! Just remember, it’s all in the application.
