Lanvin’s Halloween Soirée in New York

I am not a big fan of Halloween–I really prefer being myself rather than struggling with a costume. Having said that, there was certainly no way I was going to miss Alber Elbaz’s Halloween bash to fête the opening of his new Lanvin boutique on Madison Avenue.

I knew it was going to be fab, and it was. The place was jumping, and there were some great costumes–but it was the ambiance that was so cool. Between the dancing drag queens, the miniature treats and masks given out to all, the boutique was transformed into a fashionista’s playground for everyone who loves Lanvin and, of course, Alber (who, luckily enough, I bumped into on the stairs and was able to smooch). Obviously, I often see him in Paris–but to have him here on my home turf was a great pleasure, and I was delighted to have this chance to celebrate with him.

Is it a wig…or a hat? Either way, it’s fabulous

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the party’s cool factor shot sky high with the arrival of Janet Jackson and Anne Hathaway.

Anne looked super chic in a leopard jumpsuit. I’d wanted one like it myself, but it sold out before you could say boo!

Thank you, Alber, for a great soirée.
