The Daily Shoe
A Showroom Appointment with Rupert Sanderson

A portrait of Rupert Sanderson in his Paris boutique
The very dashing Rupert Sanderson is a charming young Brit and a terrific shoe designer, not to mention a regularly-featured name on The Daily Shoe. I caught up with him during a recent Paris Fashion Week at his boutique behind the Palais Royal, where he was showing his Spring 2012 collection.

Rupert is as stylish as his shoes, and the range of footwear he designs offers something for every client, whether she’s classic or more contemporary. But as he walked me through the collection, it became obvious that his current favorites included the styles made of leather and sheer mesh–like a fun group of peep-toe pumps in bright, delicious colors for Spring 2012.

It was a real pleasure to meet Rupert at last: he’s been a great addition to The Daily Shoe, and we thank him for celebrating its first anniversary with us!
