I’ve been talking about bags a lot recently–I’m not sure why, but it’s definitely where my eye is going. And I’ve seen quite a few that have really caught my attention.

While flying back from Nantucket last weekend, I had some time to catch up on my magazine reading. In the August issue of L’Officiel (I know, I know–I’m a little behind) I noticed a beautiful photo of a Givenchy bag called the Pandora.

This piece is really special. It’s part of the ready-to-wear collection, but it plays with many of the same elements I loved about the recent Givenchy Haute Couture: the pale blush color, the embroidered mesh (combined with nappa leather) and all the sequins, beads and faceted crystals. Even the handle is rather unique. I certainly wouldn’t mind adding a bag like this to my collection–it’s a timeless piece I would have forever!
