I’ve just returned from LA, and a stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel. On my first day there, I headed to the spa for a much-needed massage–and, along the way, I couldn’t help pausing to check out the beautiful window displays of the many boutiques I passed en route. One item in particular really caught my eye: a gorgeous crocodile clutch that looked for all the world like one of the bags Bruce Hoeksema designs for VBH.

Turns out, it isn’t branded VBH–but Bruce did design it, for Asprey, where he’s now the company’s artistic director. And the more I looked at it, the more I could see that, while it was similar to the bags Bruce creates for VBH, there were subtle variations that made it unique to Asprey. I’ve long been a fan of Bruce’s work, so it’s no surprise I love this clutch–my eye always goes to the most beautiful thing in sight, and this was no exception!
